Multiple SLO County residents without power because of wind, planned outages January 19, 2021 By JOSH FRIEDMAN Residents across several areas of San Luis Obispo County have lost power on Tuesday, a result of both high winds and preemptive power cuts by PG&E. Hundreds or more residents have lost power in the Templeton and Cambria areas as a result of the weather conditions. There is also a power outage along Highway 46 between Templeton and Cambria, according to PG&E. Meanwhile, PG&E has cut put power to the areas of Huasna, Suey and Twitchell Reservoir in South County, according to the SLO County Office of Emergency Services. A PG&E map shows intentional outages are in effect in rural Arroyo Grande and rural Nipomo, as well.

PSPS outages impacting 400+ PG&E customers in SLO, Santa Barbara counties KSBY and last updated 2021-01-19 13:38:42-05 UPDATE (10:38 a.m.): PG&E says 462 customers are impacted. - ORIGINAL STORY: Power Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) outages were impacting hundreds of PG&E customers in San Luis Obispo and northern Santa Barbara counties Tuesday morning. As of 9:23 a.m., PG&E said 441 customers on the Central Coast were impacted by the five PSPS-related outages. The company previously warned of possibly outages between Tuesday morning and Wednesday evening as strong, damaging winds are expected in the area. In the Cambria area, another 50 customers were without power off Highway 46, but PG&E says this was not a planned outage and is possibly wind-related.
