Webster firefighter injured battling blaze at Twisted Piston Automotive

A firefighter was injured Wednesday night while battling a blaze at an auto body shop in Webster, authorities said.
A passerby called 911 to report smoke was coming from Twisted Piston Automotive’s building at 137 Gore Road shortly after 10 p.m., according to the Webster Deputy Fire Chief Chris Jolda.
Among the first crew that arrived at the scene was a firefighter who was trying to knock down the blaze on the second level of the building in an attic space, according to Jolda.
“He was climbing the ladder and fell maybe 4 feet onto the first floor,” Jolda told MassLive.

One firefighter was injured Wednesday night battling a fire at an auto body shop in Webster, Massachusetts.
The Department of Fire Services said firefighters responded to Twisted Piston Automotive at 137 Gore Road around 10 p.m. A third alarm was struck after the firefighter was injured to help respond to the injury as well as the blaze.
The firefighter was taken to a Worcester hospital. His injuries were not considered life threatening.
