Firefighters quickly stomped on two grass fires that broke out on Friday.
The first fire grew to about 2 to 3 acres in the area of Twin Creek Lane and Old Forty-four Drive between Redding and Palo Cedro.
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection received the fire call about 11:40 a.m. Firefighters asked for help from the Redding Fire Department andinitially requested aircraft to fight the Twin Fire.
