Events organized by or under the auspices of the city of Festus in 2024 are tried and true favorites of the public, recreation and tourism director Barb Lowry said.
The 2023 Twin City Christmas Parade brought thousands to downtown Crystal City-Festus Monday night, Nov. 27, and even though vandals managed to shut off the street lights at the end of the event, organizers were pleased with the proceedings.
The Trick or Treat Spooktacular, known for many years as The Great Pumpkin Festival, returns Oct. 28 to downtown Crystal City-Festus offering kiddies oodles of free candy from businesses and organizations, as well as other Halloween-season activities.
