3:30 in the center of the political universe. that s the state of alabama where democrat doug jones turned deep red alabama blue, capping off a long shot campaign with a stunning win over republican roy moore in last night s senate race. jones taking 49.9% of the vote, one and a half points ahead of moore who could not overcome sexual misconduct allegations and a very controversial past. alabama has been at a cross roads. we have been at cross roads in the past. and unfortunately we have usually taken the wrong fork. tonight, ladies and gentlemen, you took the right road. as dr. king liked to quote, the moral arc of the universe is long, but it bends towards justice. moore quoted scripture to his supporters refusing to concede telling them it s not over and it s going to take some time. his campaign insisting a recount is possible depending on write-in and military ballots but alabama s state republican
