Several state and congressional leaders responded to President Joe Biden s Wednesday night address to a joint session of Congress:
U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown of Cleveland, D-Ohio, praised Biden s American Families Plan as providing a once-in-a-generation investment in Ohio s children and families by strengthening education, health care and child care and expanding the middle class.
President Biden s plan would make earned income tax credits for childless workers permanent. It would also extend an up to $3,600 tax credit for each family s child through 2025, which Brown said he will fight to also make permanent.
