The anticipated result of the application for leave to appeal against the conviction and sentencing of WSU student Sibongile Mani has been delayed due to the late filing of documents pertaining to the matter.
The illegal spending of the R14 million erroneously transferred to Walter Sisulu University (WSU) student, Sibongile Mani, was motivated by “greed” and not need.
Sibongile Mani is yet to start serving her five-year sentence as the NPA on Wednesday confirmed that her R1,500 bail had been extended after her lawyer said she would appeal both her conviction and sentence.
