Convicted Walter Sisulu University student Sibongile Mani has been granted leave to appeal her sentence, but refused an application to appeal her conviction. The judgment was delivered in the East London regional court by magistrate Twanett Olivier on Friday. Mani’s supporters and legal team erupted with joy after the ruling, hugging a relieved Mani.
