ready to go this weekend. in terms of the other thing that people love to watch for, the ads. some did really well. and there was one that definitely fell flat. exactly. the ratings, early ratings suggest this was a huge game, 108 million viewers likely tuning in for the ads and the game. the alexa amazon ad, this is the jeff bezos ad with all those celebrities, playing with alexa, auditioning, this was the number one ad in the usa today ad meter poll overnight. other top ads, the dirty dancing spot featuring the giants. there were not a lot of hugely sensational or shocking ads. just a lot of good old-fashioned humor and comfort food ads. the one that fell flat was for dodge rams. the truck ad, using an mlk sermon in order to sell trucks. a lot of folks thought it was distasteful. heard from the mlk center about it as well. that s the morning after controversy, the mlk ad. it is telling in a world where as more options of tv viewing
or you re going to face a government shutdown. none of these things are things these guys want to do. reauthorize the exim bank. again, something they don t want to do. all of things, every single time the speaker pushes this through on the back of democratic votes, whomever he or she is, they re going to say, okay, motion to vacate the chair, you re fired. sort of like donald trump s congress, you re fired, you re fired. let s have a new speaker every other week. and so whoever this next speaker is is not going to last very long because there s nothing he or she can do that s going to make it very popular to stay. i will say after all of the effort that we ve put into coming up with our four options including john boehner sadly having to keep doing this thing, you have just inspired me that we should have done a fifth, which is house speaker on a chore wheel where everybody has to be house speaker for three days and then it goes to somebody else and it ruins their career for three d
