to news anchors and said, wait a minute, you re shaking your head, okay s. i m looking for i m looking for a pass on legal status. what about on immigration? look, the way i look at donald trump is, he speaks to the audience in front of him. at any one time. everyone says he s great, he s a tv guy. no, he s not. he speaks to the audience in front of him. no, he was speaking to the audience out there. this is here for him and now he s speaking to the audience in front of him, the congress of the united states. i ve been talking about this, i saw this one coming. this is not an ideological guy. this is a man who wants to make a deal, wants to get things done, and he s already tipping his hat, particularly on immigration. i remember republicans saying that during the primary. and you re going to see it tonight. i think you re going to see it tonight. look, we can make deals, and, you know, i m going to open up
about nancy pelosi. i ve been watching nancy s tape. i think she s incompetent if you look at what s going on with the democrats and the party. it s getting smaller and smaller. i like a two-party system and we re going to have a one-party system. i think a two-party system is healthy and good. but she s done a terrible job. she s wrong. i don t think she s a good spokesman. she s certainly wrong. my favorite part is i ve been watching nancy s tape. he s a good tv guy. i think he s wrong in the sense that we re a one-party system. as the census comes up during his presidency, the district is going to be redrawn. he s right in the sense the republicans have an upper hand. of course, that changes every
tv guy, savvy tv producer doing his thing. does that make though for a solid president? some people will say yes, some people will say no, those that say yes, there s nothing they can do to thing their mind, for us there s little he can do to change our mind. to kayleigh s point i would much rather him be up there answering questions and at least give us a window into his thinking of all these issues. there were substantive issues talked about for example his relr reaction to the or the order and how he was having his lawyers taylor it to the court order even though he thinks it s a bad
person and tv guy, we didn t see this kind of hatred. some people thought he was annoying, some people didn t like his style, okay. but when i would go to a game with him, most of the people would applaud when he came up on the jumbotron. it wasn t this way. but now that he is a politician, gutfeld, all right, that has changed dramatically, even though, as you rightly pointed out, one of the few times ins your life that you are correct, he is not an ideologue, not aou conservative thumper. i, like you, noticed this b when he and i would go for long walks on the beach. everyone was very happy to see him. not much anymore. i think he is ticking off the right people, bill. it heartens me to see people like michael moore, other celebrities, other crazy left-wing professors lose their stuff over him. that means he is doing something right. bill: you know what i think it is? i m going to have to tell you guys what it is. it is the birther stuff. the birther stuff, that is what changed it
president trump alongside these wall street guys. i have to say this, jake. you know, i don t mean to be disrespectful. this guy is a fraud. this guy ran for president of the united states saying i, donald trump, going to take on wall street. these guys are getting away with murder and appoints billionaires and his financial adviser comes from goldman sachs and now he s going to dismantle legislation that protects consumers. this is a guy who ran for president saying i am going i m the only run that will not cut social security, medicare and medicaid and then he appoints all of these guys who are precisely going to cut social security, medicare and medicaid. i hope that all of those folks who voted for mr. trump because he thought that he would stand up for working people, man, this guy is he s a good showman. i ll give you that. a good tv guy. i think he s going to sell out the middle class and working class of this country and he told us it s in the republican platform.
