today s pam. they call this one catching um. i call it the index card segment. here s my first card. we are going to the washington post this morning. here s the headline. ted cruz takes 2016 campaign to the air with easter weekend tv buys. his first ad is entitled blessing. showing the video, not the actual sound. there is the ad he s already on the air. this comes on the backdrop there is a new poll. he was stuck in single digits. he announced his candidatancy suddenly he s at the top. i think people will be surprised by him. he s personable. i think he s like that on the trail as well. i think him and rand paul are going to surprise people. it s one of those you watch and work those rooms. with the base that he s going i was going to say, personable is one word and then personality. he has a lot of personality.
done until we get refs. right. that s it. finally got that off my mind. willie, can we talk about scott brown? boy that scott brown race, holy cow, that s crazy. i thought we would have been over this native american question, but apparently it s coming back. elizabeth warren, senator scott brown is getting personal. it has to do with elizabeth warren s claims of native american heritage. both sides are airing out the debate in tv buys across the state. i m scott brown and i approve this message. elizabeth warren is trying to put questions about her heritage behind her. she admitted to identifying herself as native american to employers. she s facing tough questions about whether she claimed to be a minority for professional gain. warren did give an answer, the problem is, it keeps changing. is there anything else that will come out about you that we don t already know? you know, i don t think so,
a disparity of more than $30 million. is e.j. right, it s going to be on who controls the house and senate? no. because romney was mired in primary for months, trying to get out rick santorum and newt gingrich, he had to play catch-up. romney is trying to catch up to the obama machine. obama never had to deal with a primary so i think obama is in a strong position. if you look at the tv buys, obama is already up in swing states, more than romney. obama has a larger staff. this is mitt romney trying to assert himself as a general election candidate. i have to tell you, e.j., i just spent four days in ohio. i didn t wch a whole lot of television but it was blistering hot so more than i normally would. i frankly got sick of commercials. i saw commercials 10, 12 times over the course of just a couple of days. and i wonder at what point it s the point of diminishing returns
and of course the situation is very different from last year because we ve not only got the dynamics of who s the front-runner and who is not as well as super pacs and that is why when it comes to this month s enthusiasm, craig, it could be, well, next month s record tv buys. live in the nation s capital this morning, thank you, sir. appreciate that. you bet. making news this morning now police say a man accused of kidnapping a mother and her three daughters is described as being like an uncle to the girls. now there are charges. at the same time the fbi says they re trying to identify two bodies found at a mississippi home that hayes has been linked to. law enforcement says he is armed and dangerous. a mystery continues in afghanistan this morning. army investigators say they found no bullet wound in a soldier who died in afghanistan while skyping with his wife back in the u.s. believing he died of
campaign. i was basically at zero in the polls for a year and then the last two weeks the ads went up. and suddenly all of the 10,000 doors that i knocked on and the yard signs and it all comes together at the end. that still matters in new hampshire, doesn t it? the town hall meetings, the coffees, all the things he s been doing. a couple things matter in new hampshire. one is the ability to hit as many functions as you can. i mean, retail politics is still critical in new hampshire. that s still king in new hampshire. in some sense more important than tv. the other critical component in new hampshire happens to be the manchester union leader. in the week leading up to the primary. a couple interesting things i think are occurring not only in new hampshire but the republican world. one is the huntsman move, tv buys.
