The current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 10 per cent provincially and 9.2 per cent in Winnipeg. As of 9:30am on January 10, 2021, 151 new cases of the virus have been identified, bringing the total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba to 26,317.
Public health officials advise five additional deaths in people with COVID-19 have been reported today including:
a female in her 70s from the Winnipeg health region, linked to an outbreak at the Southeast Personal Care Home;
a female in her 80s from the Winnipeg health region,
a female in her 80s from the Winnipeg health region, linked to an outbreak at the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg;

Manitoba public health officials reported another five deaths due to COVID-19 on Sunday, and 151 new cases of the virus.
The five deaths were all from the Winnipeg health region with four linked to outbreaks at personal care homes or health-care facilities: a woman in her 70s from the Southeast Personal Care Home; two women in their 80s from the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg and the Deer Lodge Centre (Lodge 4 West); and a woman in her 90s from the Seven Oaks General Hospital (4U4-7). As well, a woman in her 80s passed away.
