Two motorcyclists died in a high-speed crash on Sunday night near Buckeye, Maricopa County sheriff s officials said Monday.
Deputies were dispatched to the area of Tuthill and Beloat shortly before midnight and found two motorcycles had crashed, according to an email from the Sheriff s Office.
Medical personnel were already at the location when deputies arrived.
Two motorcycles traveled north on Tuthill Road at a high rate of speed and collided with the railing alongside the road, sheriff s officials said. Both riders suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash, and both were wearing helmets.
Sheriff s Office detectives are investigating the incident. No additional details were available, officials said.
