This year, with most statewide restrictions lifted, celebrate Independence Day with a bang at these patriotic events across Orange County. Also keep an eye out for the Condor Squadron with four AT-6 aircraft WWII trainers flying over Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Dana Point, and San Clemente between 5:20 p.m. and 6 p.m.
July 3:
Price: $7 per person (ages 3 and up)
Time: 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Fireworks start at 8:45 p.m.

DANA POINT, CA Cox Charities Advisory Board members surprised nine area high school seniors with scholarships to help cover college costs in a video call Friday. This is the second year in a row that Cox Charities opted to virtually announce the scholarship recipients in what they called a day of anticipation. Cox Charities is the philanthropic arm of Cox Communications and is funded by employee donations, matched by Cox, and overseen by an advisory board of employees who volunteer their time.
