Grocery store, ice cream factory among 16 Michigan workplaces fined for COVID-19 violations

Another 16 Michigan businesses have been fined for having an unsafe workplace when it comes to COVID-19 precautions.
The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration is updating its website weekly with businesses cited for COVID-19 violations.
In total, 190 workplaces have been cited for pandemic-related issues.
The latest batch includes a pair of steakhouses, a grocery store, an auto parts store and a handful of businesses in manufacturing and construction. Fines ranged from $0 to $6,300.
Violations include not requiring masks, not doing an employee health screening and not telling the health department or other employees when an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
