Woman killed in Turnpike crash in Palm Beach Gardens © Provided by WPEC West Palm Beach A 53-year-old woman from West Palm Beach was killed after she was hit by a car on the Turnpike Tuesday night, the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said.  The crash happened on the southbound lanes, just south of the PGA Boulevard exit just after 11 p.m.   A sports utility vehicle driven by a 34-year-old man was heading south on the Turnpike when he hit the woman, who was standing behind a pickup truck stopped on the outside shoulder of the road, according to FHP. She had been a passenger in the pickup truck.
