HADLEY Andrew Ciaglo held his follow through with his right hand and let his left arm swing. He knew the 3-pointer was the one.
The Hopkins Academy junior sat at 997 career points, and his previous two attempts from deep rattled halfway down before jumping out.
Not this one with 1 minute, 51 seconds left in the third quarter against Turners Falls on Wednesday. It bounced around the inside of the rim twice before dropping through, making Ciaglo the 26th member of Hopkins Academy’s 1,000-point club. The last player to do it was Samantha Jenks in Feb. 2018.
“I’m just glad I got it. I got it in and I was like ‘Everything’s out the window,’” Ciaglo said. “I was trying to go backdoor, and Braeden (Tudryn) was like no, don’t.”

Apparently state championship hangovers don’t last 11 months.
Through two games, the Greenfield hockey team doesn’t look like a team content on just winning last year’s championship. The club has won its first two games and is looking like it would have been a real threat to repeat if state tournaments were being contested this season.
