Homeowner, intruder fire shots after break-in The Turlock Police Department is investigating a home break-in that ended with an exchange of gunfire between the homeowner and the intruder. No injuries were reported from the incident. The break-in was reported shortly after 8 p.m. Feb. 26 at a home in the 4100 block of Wild Lilac Drive. The homeowner told the police that he was upstairs when he heard a noise downstairs. He went down to investigate and saw that an unknown person had forced his way into the home via the back of the entrance, said Turlock Police spokesperson Sgt. Michael Parmley.
