LAFAYETTE, Ind. Tippecanoe County s recent steady drop in the overall seven-day positivity rate for COVID-19 should not trigger residents to relax their mitigation efforts, the county s health officer warned. We are encouraged by the recent decrease in new cases and positivity rate, Dr. Jeffrey Adler, with the Tippecanoe County Health Department, told the Journal & Courier. Much of the state is seeing a similar trend.
In the past two weeks since Tippecanoe County moved into the red status the highest rate of community spread the overall seven-day positivity rate for new COVID-19 cases has dropped considerably, according to the Indiana State Department of Health Dashboard.
