Share Updated: 11:12 PM CDT May 14, 2021 By Tulane Athletics The Tulane University baseball team mounted a three-run comeback to defeat UCF, 5-4, in walk-off fashion in 10 innings on Friday afternoon at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium in the first game of the doubleheader.Freshman Bennett Lee tied the game for Tulane with two outs in the ninth with a two-run home run to left field. Lee s fourth homer of the season forced extra innings.Redshirt junior Frankie Niemann started the 10th inning on second due to NCAA rules. He then moved to third on redshirt junior Luis Aviles sacrifice bunt. By Tulane Sports Information | February 21, 2021 at 7:27 AM CST - Updated February 21 at 7:33 AM NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Tulane (1-1) fell 9-8 to the University of Louisiana-Lafayette (1-1) on Saturday inside Greer Field at Turchin Stadium to snap the Wave’s 10-game winning streak dating back to last season.  For the second straight game Tulane went to extra innings, but this time they weren’t able to come away with the victory. In a game that saw six lead changes and 14 pitchers between the two teams, it was the defensive errors that hurt the Wave in the end.
