ashleigh gets into the passenger seat, as i get into the driver s seat, the driveway s cleared for me to leave. so as i m coming down the driveway, the fire was doing two things. it was laying flat across the driveway, so you could barely see the asphalt, but it was also arcing up over you. so it looked like you were driving through, literally, a tunnel of fire. right outside our gate was a barn. it was completely engulfed in flame. and the flame, now with the fire blowing that direction, was blowing the flame across our driveway, in front of our escape route. the only way out was to drive through that flame. i gunned the engine and went through the flame. and right after that, the truck stalled.
