The Christian Lawyers Fellowship of Nigeria, CLASFON, has observed that the financial autonomy of the Nigerian Judiciary is absolutely not-negotiable.
The group noted that the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN, on 6th April, 2021 embarked on a nationwide industrial action to press home its demand that the judiciary arm of government both at the Federal and state levels must be allowed to enjoy its constitutional right of financial autonomy as provided in Section 81(3) and Section 121(3) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended).
Arome Okwori and Tunji Omole, National President and National Secretary of CLASFON, in a statement made available to DAILY POST in Kaduna, explained that, “Beside these constitutional provisions concerning the financial autonomy and independence of the judiciary, there is a subsisting court order validating the reason for the on-going industrial action embarked on by JUSUN way back in the case of JUSUN v. AG Federation
Terror attacks in Zamfara: Matawalle constitutes three high-powered committees

Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle of Zamfara State has condemned outrightly the recent simultaneous attacks by recalcitrant bandits on Gobirawa, Gora, Rini and Madoti Dankule villages of Maradun and Bakura Local Government Areas of the state where innocent lives were lost.
The government also condoled with the families of those who lost their lives in the sad event, saying that he is taking every necessary step to ensure that the culprits are brought to book.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the state commissioner of Information, Hon. Ibrahim Magaji Dosara and made available to newsmen in Gusau, the state capital.

Officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, the Department of State Service, DSS, and the Nigeria Police have pledged to intensify their collaboration in the fight against corruption.
Heads of EFCC Zonal Offices in Kaduna and Ilorin, visited the Director, DSS and the Police Commissioner respectively.
In Kaduna, Harry Erin told the State Director, Ahmed Idris Koya that he was visiting to familiarize himself with heads of security agencies.
He thanked the DSS for its support to the commission especially in intelligence, tracking of criminals engage in money laundering and terrorism financing.
He recalled that with the help of the DSS, two suspects were recently arrested, one of them charged to court and convicted.
