Abiodun Nejo, Ado-Ekiti
A Peoples Democratic Party chieftain, Senator Biodun Olujimi, has said genuine reconciliation is key to the party’s bid to win the 2022 governorship election in Ekiti State.
Olujimi, who represents Ekiti South Senatorial District in the Senate, said the time for the factions, groups and interests within the party in Ekiti to unite and work together to dislodge the All Progressives Congress, was now.
This was contained in a communiqué signed by a factional PDP Chairman, Kayode Odebumi, issued at the end of a party leaders’ meeting in Ado Ekiti, on Thursday.
Those, who attended the meeting included, Olujimi; a former deputy governor, Sikiru Lawal; former acting-governor, Tunji Odeyemi; Alhaji Lateef Ajijola; Alaba Agboola; and former PDP state chairmen, Chief Makanjuola Ogundipe and Chief Gboyega Oguntuwase.
