The First City Monument Bank (FCMB), on Wednesday, named Mrs. Yemisi Edun as the Acting Managing Director of the bank in the interim.
This is following the news of the alleged affair between its Managing Director, Adam Nuru, and one of its former staff identified as Moyo Thomas, which caused controversy online.
The announcement was contained in a statement signed by the FCMB management on its Twitter handle.
“In line with normal corporate practice, Edun is Acting as the Managing Director of FCMB in the interim period, while Mr Adam Nuru is on leave.
“She has not been appointed as the substantive Managing Director,” the statement read.
We love scandals. By ‘’we’’ I mean both the dramatis personae in a scandal and the spectators sitting in judgment. Why would a superior at a workplace get entangled in a sexual congress with a subordinate if not driven by depravity and adrenaline rush from eating a forbidden fruit? It is predatory for anyone in authority or in a higher position to get in the hay with a subordinate. It is classical animal predation.

I have also worked in places where the MD serially exercised his manhood on female staff without care that his sexual exploits and libido are stuff of office gossip. I have seen things.
The management of First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has reacted to the alleged paternity mess trailing its managing director, Mr Adam Nuru.
It was alleged that Mr Nuru had a romantic affair with a former married employee of the financial institution identified as Mrs Moyo Thomas.
The alleged affair produced two children, who the husband of the ex-staff, Mr Tunde Thomas, believed were his until his wife broke the news that they allegedly belonged to Mr Nuru.
According to a petition filed by the friends of Mr Thomas, the situation plunged the man (Mr Thomas) into a depression and he later had a stroke.

At least 1,927 persons have called for the sacking of the First City Monument Bank Managing Director, Adam Nuru, over alleged infidelity with a former worker with the bank, Moyo Thomas.
The petition is requesting the Central Bank of Nigeria and the FCMB board to dismiss Nuru on ethical grounds.
It came on the heels of the death of Moyo’s estranged husband, Tunde Thomas, who reportedly died of depression about two weeks ago after Moyo reportedly told him some months ago that her two kids were fathered by Nuru.
Moyo had reportedly left Tunde and travelled to the United States with the kids, informing him that the children were not his when she got to the US. Tunde was said to have been down with stroke but later recovered.
