Flood watches and warnings remain in effect for much of central Pa. on Christmas Eve as close to two inches of rain have been reported around the region.
According to observations provided by the National Weather Service, 2 inches of rain were recorded by a remote automated weather station in Tumbling Run, Cumberland County. Shippensburg saw the next most, with just under 2 inches recorded by a citizen weather observer.
Wormleysburg and Mechanicsburg both saw more than an inch and a half of rain, as did Halifax and Hummelstown in Dauphin County. Harrisburg saw 1.16 inches, according to a citizen observer, while an inch was recorded at Harrisburg International Airport.
