biden called for a special counsel in the case of valerie plame. then senator obama called for it at the same time. then senator biden was on talk shows saying the only way to get an objective investigation is to have a special counsel. it is almost. well, i think it has traced of hypocrisy. greta: senator feinstein has not joined you in terms of asking for an outside investigation. do you have any personal confusion with her and asked her i know this is a very troubling leak to her? i think there is no doubt about senator feinstein s concern on this issue. she said in 11 years that she has been on the intelligence committee, she has never seen anything like this. i respect her wanting to wait and see what happens. but i also think that it is pretty obvious that the president and the attorney general don t want a special
counsel. greta: that s a huge indictment of their motive. they have said they don t want one, that it s not necessary? greta: but the undercurrent is that it is a political leak and that they consider their political future or livelihood superior to national security, chiam sure they would deny vigorously. i upon sure they might and will. i will give them the benefit of the doubt. except the question has to be asked, why wouldn t you want the most objective, credible investigation to be conducted that would have nothing to do with the investigation since there are allegations that it s members of the administration who were responsible for the leaks? greta: correct me if i am wrong, this worm from iran, this is part of a program that predated president obama? it started in the president bush administration? that s what is in this book. i don t have i don t have that information. but i have no reason to doubt that. greta: not to give you any
