With films like Yaariyan’, ‘Shaandaar’, ‘Mom’, and ‘Judwaa 2’, Vikas Verma is gradually making a space for himself in Bollywood but it has taken him a long time to get there. In an exclusive interview with ETimes, the actor opens up about his latest venture ‘Coolie No 1’, working with Sara Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan, and the struggle to make it in the industry. Excerpts…
How did you bag a role in Coolie No 1 ?
I was a part of David Dhawan’s ‘Judwaa 2’. He was impressed with my performance and had told me that he d like to work with me again. Six months before we started shooting for ‘Coolie No 1’, he called to inform me that I was part of his next. Three months later, he introduced me to the film s associate director as the villain and that s when I found out that the film was Coolie No 1 .

Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan who are both gearing up for the release of their upcoming film Collie No 1 , will be appearing as guests on The Kapil Sharma Show in the comedy show s weekend episode.
A recent promo video shared by SONY on their verified Instagram handle reveals that the lead cast of the film are having a gala time on the comedy-chat show s sets while host Kapil, in his trademark style asks some question and makes funny remarks while the guests engage in a fun conversation.

Yet another song from Coolie No. 1 is here and this one too, like Husn Hai Suhana, is one taken from the original film. We are talking about the popular 90s song, Tujhko Mirchi Lagi Toh, which has become Mirchi Lagi Toh. While remixes aren t the best thing that s in trend in Bollywood right now, this one has only a very slight difference from the original and has retained the flavour and the vibe of the 90s version.
In fact, the song says that it would take us back to the 90s. There had been some mixing here and there, but this is very close to the original. The difference lies in the visuals though.
