The Handweaving Trust claimed that the clothes were made by 12.36 lakh people from different walks of life under an initiative named ‘Do dhaage Shri Ram ke liye’ during a programme between December 10 and 22 last year.
On Tuesday, Mishra began by taking a dip in the Saryu river, amid chanting of mantras, and then taking 'panchgavya' (cow milk, curd, ghee, gobar and gau mutra), after which he began a fast.
