AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Masters week has begun.
Today is the first of three practice rounds at Augusta National Golf Club before the tournament starts on Thursday.
Gates were set to open today at 8 a.m.
Itâs all happening on the heels of the first-ever fall Masters Tournament a little less than five months ago.

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Amid the 10-day celebration that the Masters has become, a young Minnesotan made a mark Sunday at Augusta National, and he felt appreciated.
Sam Udovich of Inver Grove Heights won the boys 11-12 age group of the Drive, Chip and Putt national finals. He admitted that was cool. He seemed to think what happened next was sweeter yet: Justin Thomas, the second-ranked player in the world, gave him props.

AUGUSTA, Georgia – LSU sophomore women’s golfer Ingrid Lindblad represented her school and her home country well Saturday as she finished in a tie for third at the second Augusta National Women’s Amateur.
The 30 golfers who made the cut after 36 holes of the event at Champions Retreat, played the final round at the Augusta National Golf Club and the famed venue turned the second nine holes into what you would expect from a major championship event.

Washington – Tsubasa Kajitani beat Emilia Migliaccio in a playoff to win the Augusta National Women’s Amateur on Saturday as the Georgia venue prepared to host the Masters.
The 17-year-old from Japan rolled in a five-foot par putt at the first extra hole to win the second edition of the event.

Migliaccio in a playoff to win the Augusta National Women’s Amateur on
Saturday as the Georgia venue prepared to host the Masters.
The 17-year-old from Japan rolled in a five-foot par putt at the first
extra hole to win the second edition of the event.
Kajitani carded a final-round 72 and American Migliaccio carded a 70 as
both finished at one-over par.
They returned to the 18th tee for the playoff, both finding the fairway.
Migliaccio, a 21-year-old who plays college golf at Wake Forest, pushed her
approach right of a greenside bunker, her third shot landing in the bunker.
