FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The second day of advanced voting for the 2021 by-election had more votes compared to 2017.
According to the city, 321 residents made their voices heard and cast their votes compared to 289 votes in 2017.

Special voting opportunities are expected to occur at senior care facilities on May 13th and for the hospital on May 15th.
General Voting Day is May 15th from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Pomeroy Sport Centre. It’s also the deadline to receive any mail-in ballots.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C – The first advanced voting opportunity for the 2021 by-election opened Wednesday with double the votes compared to 2017.
The first day of voting saw 241 voters arrive to cast their ballot compared to 116 for the 2017 by-election.
The next advanced voting day will be May 12th, also at the Pomeroy Sport Centre from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ),whenLoaded(initFlexitive);

According to the Local Government Act, section 154, “in relation to voting proceedings, a person must not do any of the following at or within 100 metres of a building, structure or other place where voting proceedings are being conducted at the time: (c) display or distribute a sign, a document or other material regarding a candidate or electoral organization , except as authorized by the chief election officer.”
Election signage is not allowed on city property, in Centennial Park or “on Banner across a City street, avenue or roadway”.
Advanced voting for the City’s by-election is now open.
Voting takes place at the Pomeroy Sport Centre from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on May 5th.
