Wine bar appeal leads 130 to self-isolate as more locations identified

More than 130 people who visited a wine bar, identified as a high risk location for Covid-19, are now self-isolating after an appeal yesterday. Anyone who attended the Truth Wine & Tapas bar on Parliament Street in Ramsey, on either New Year’s Eve or Saturday 2 January, was asked to self-isolate immediately. The venue was identified as a high risk location after an individual, who was identified as a close contact of a confirmed case, tested positive for Covid-19. This individual is known to have been in the premises on two separate evenings:

A further 14 low-risk coronavirus locations have been identified on the Isle of Man.
It s been announced by the Director of Public Health Dr Henrietta Ewart this afternoon.
She says if you were at any of the locations at the specific days and times, you
do not need to self-isolate.
However Dr Henrietta Ewart asks people to look out for any symptoms, and if any appear to self-isolate and contact 111.
It s as more than 130 people who visited the wine bar Truth Wine & Tapas bar on Parliament Street in Ramsey, are now self-isolating.
It was identified as a high risk location.
