KUALA LUMPUR, March 2 Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) has denied speculation that it will be privatised.

ILO and ECAM collaborate to fight child labour in Malawi

The action programme, valued at more than MWK 73 million (almost USD $100,000) has been agreed this week under the ILO’s Accelerating Action for the Elimination of Child Labour in Supply Chains in Africa (ACCEL Africa) project, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Netherlands.
Lilongwe, 15 December 2020 The International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Employers Consultative Association of Malawi (ECAM) have signed an action programme to mobilise the country’s private sector in the fight against child labour in Malawi.
The new action programme will see ECAM establish a National Employer Taskforce Against Child Labour, promote child labour elimination policies and practices across the private sector, and facilitate more and better Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) investments by companies to address the root causes of child labour in supply chains.
In order to be eligible for a grant, the applicant must:
Be legally and locally registered with relevant authorities (Registrar of Societies or the Companies Commission) in Malaysia or a registered company under the Companies Act 1965 for social enterprises or a registered organization under the Trustees (Incorporation) Act 1952 (in selected cases, grants may be channelled to organizations registered in foreign jurisdictions but carry out programmes in Malaysia and impacting Malaysia);
Have been formed and registered at least two years prior to being considered for Hasanah’s grant award – if the organization was previously established under a different name and was operational for at least or more than two years under the said name, the applicant must provide evidence of this;
