Picture: Portland Bill Coastguard Rescue Team A WOMAN was taken to hospital after she suffered a suspected broken ankle during a walk at a landmark with her family. Portland Bill Coastguard and an ambulance arrived at Blacknor Fort on West Cliff, Portland to help treat an injured woman at 12.05pm on Sunday, April 11. The stricken woman was found and her injured ankle was stabilised by the coastguard. She was placed onto a stretcher and carried to an ambulance on nearby Croft Road. The ambulance crew carried out an assessment of the injury and she was taken to Dorset County Hospital for further medical treatment.
