Things are looking up for Masterton s most desperate. Lyn Tankersley of Project Manaaki at the Elizabeth St house in Masterton which is being renovated to provide accommodation for the most acute homeless cases. No sooner had they found the $400,000 house in Elizabeth St, which has a big backyard for extra cabins and access to a nearby park, than a generous donor stepped forward and offered to pay for the property. Tankersley didn t know who the donor was, but she was enormously grateful for their contribution. “It’s just an absolute, amazingly awesome blessing. We all said ‘well, God’s in this’.”
