in fact, when they view it, it has made the trump supporters more determined it made the trump supporters more determined because they see unfairness to it. do you think that that s true with the rest of the country in trump land trump being besieged 24/7 by all of this stuff? do you think that what hardens their allegiance towards president? i think it does i think left survey i saw 95% of republicans are supporting trump and behind him after the impeachment thing they see him being victimized over nothing over a call that might be a little bit unusual butting nothing illegal or impeachable in view of increasing number of people we ve seen since the impeachment hearing started support for impeachment has fallen opposition has collapsed and 13 to 15 points it is amazing. in the face. cnn has been pushing this impeachment thing very hard, and once it didn t move the needle, you know who they blamed? they blamed trump sporters listen to this cult language.

problem when it came to corruption. that s going to be where this defense is heading. president trump will continue to say, there was no quid pro quo. but obviously, gordon sondland is blowing that up. and the mere fact that gordon sonland called president trump up after this was already out in the public, and saying, and trump said, there was no quid pro quo, that s not dispositive. that s just someone claiming i m innocent like any criminal defendant. that s not the same thing. so this is very compelling stuff. but look for the defense to switch to quid pro quo, but so what. the daily beast putting out that sondland scorched trumpland during yesterday s hearing. how is this new information going to impact the inquiry going forward, especially concerning the reporting from the washington post, basically saying the senate republicans have not been moved by it? sure, yes, i mean certainly stepping back, i think democrats felt that yesterday couldn t really have gone much better th
which every starts throwing each other under the bus. but i mean, roger stone has been the notable dirty trickster or whatever. this is what he prides himself on. going a little further than everybody else is willing to go on behalf of his friend donald trump. so the extent to which steve bannon is going to sort of distance himself from that by testifying against him will be interesting to see. especially now that steve bannon seems to be trying to work his way back into trumpland. he has been publicly out there defending the president. he had been on the outs for a long time. so it s coming at an interesting time for steve bannon as he s trying to regain favor in trump world. rick gates will also testify. they re holding off sentencing on gates until after he testifies. so he may have more relevant things to say. jeff sessions announcing he s
are done in trumpland and even then they re not necessarily done. he will likely be there. i think they will welcome his help. i think they would welcome his help on a number of fronts including a public facing defense. but it is not quite there yet. maybe that ll change in the next couple of hours. but as of last night, it was not. until the president writes it on twitter, it s not real. even then. this reminds me a lot of what happened with the effort to try to form a more expansive legal team outside the white house for the president during the mueller probe where there was an announcement on the record from trump s advisers that joe digenova was going to be joining the white house legal team. then in a day or two that was not the case anymore. so we ll wait and see. in case it does become trey gowdy, i think it s important to go back and see how he would feel about a president not giving documents to congress when they are subpoenaed or when they need them for an investigatio
