trump will fire special counsel robert mueller. do you really go to bed at night worrying that by the time you wake up the president will try to fire the special counsel? yes. i think the president s abrupt recent actions in how he dismissed the v.a. secretary, secretary of state, other key members of his cabinet suggest that this is something he is likely to do. what about that second special counsel? well, attorney general jeff sessions just denied a request from some republicans to appoint a special counsel to investigate what they call political bias at the fbi and justice department. i m joined to talk about it by time magazine contributor and an msnbc political analyst. and joyce vance. also an msnbc contributor. joyce, let me start with you there. sessions telling congress that the u.s. attorney in utah and the doj inspector general are going to be investigating these matters instead.
i feel like paul ryan s little piece of paper he put out through a spokesperson is not a profile in courage. this could be a constitutional crisis. yeah, i think at the moment the republicans are not and you re right, ryan not even going on camera himself, this was a weak move sending it to an underling. if mueller were to be fired i suspect you would see more republicans come on board and say that was the wrong thing to do at this point it would be too late. what we have learned and you re right about donald trump through the years, is that he views the board through the prism of win/lose. if andrew mccabe is getting his pension, that s a win for andrew mccabe therefore it must be a lose for donald trump. especially about mump. trump is obsessed with money. and he has these two storm clouds over him which we re about to get to. and he has the mueller storm cloud. everyone said i can t do this, i don t that and there would be
