overturned roe v. wade, we have seen a wave of political engagement from women across the country. turning out, in large numbers, for rallies, marches, and elections. these results ballast managers, looking to restrict access to reproductive care, fell in some surprising places. looking at you, kentucky. a stark reminder, even today, in 2022, the fight for women s rights is not over. this week, hillary, and chelsea clinton, posted the women s voices summit in little rock arkansas. those seeing guessing on all aspects of women s identity. presidential candidate, and first lady for a wide ranging interview you will see over the course of the weekend. starting with what is at stake in tuesday s senate runoff in georgia, and the danger that trumpism poses to this great experiment that we call democracy. the 2016, you warned that donald trump would stack the courts in the interests of reversing reproductive rights. we are now living with that reality. both
are well deserved and earned. so we need to do our job, being a constant megaphone for what is actually happening. so that the public can see the difference. i think there is a core question of whether the threats to our democracy comes from trump themself, if you remove trump s if they go way and if trumpism has taken such a hold of the republican party that the threats remain even in his absence? i think that s a key question alicia and we will start finding out and maybe some answers to it as we move forward and i think that we saw some of trump s most extreme candidates and not all of them but enough of them go down back in this midterm election, which was encouraging. but today the republican party has bought into his brand of politics. and the demagoguery, the absolute rejection of facts, evidence, truth is something that is deeper than trump himself.
