i just don t see that. the invasion of crimea, attack on our financial systems, the meddling in an election, the stealing of our intellectual property, i mean, there s nothing on that checklist that uld say, hey, this is a good idea, russia is now behaving better, let s bring them back in as a partner in these discussions and make it g8. i don t get it. chris: so, well, so let me ask you, as one of our political analysts, why do you think he s doing it? i don t know, i don t know. the president had a mission to disrupt the current status quo with the g7 and get after some of the trade imbalances, but i think that was a distraction to suddenly suggest that russia should be part of those discussions. it came from out of the blue, ii don t understand it. chris: 30 seconds, jonah, what do you think is going on here? i m not sure i buy it because putin has something on trump
putin has something on trump explanation, i think it may be, in fact, because president trump ends to like to pick on people he thinks he get away picking on appear he see it is g7 people like trudeau as pushovers and meanwhile he tends to respect countries and strong leaders that don t like democracy and and behave in a sort of authoritarian way and i think he kind of likes xi of china, kim and putin because they exert manfullness. chris: something to talk about. thank you, panel. see you sunday back in dc. up next, what we can learn about the trump-kim summit from summits of the past, showmanship and substance and sometimes agreements that change the course of history. legendary jockey victor espinoza loves winning just as much. as his horse loves snacking.

not. i don t think dmib can deny that. dan? erin, you hit upon it. the trump explanation is absurd. iflt can t be that james comey tell us the truth only when it helps are donald trump and when it doesn t he s obviously lying. to your point, look, we don t know what was said in that room but we can use our common sense. comey wrote these things down in real time, talked to people in real time about them. prosecutors will go back and talk with those witnesses. comey has a decades-long bipartisan recommendation for integrity and rectitude. we know for a fact that donald trump lies all the time. we know he s lying about these tapes and we will know that soon when the white house counsel has to tell the house intelligence committee that there are no tapes. we re going to hit because. the president had something to say today. is that a defense?
