president trump backtracks, reverses course, at the same time, he says, they are not getting rid of the zero-tolerance policy. correct, john? that s right. that s what a lot in the media had a problem with because the executive order keeps in place that is zero tolerance policy. the trump administration, rightly or wrongly, and i think they were not prepared to do this when they did, they are saying we are going to prosecute every single person who crosses the border illegally. that s an insane thing to do if you have the system we have come a right? the executive order keeps that in place, and just says, we are going to get the families together while there asylum claims and immigration status is adjudicated. obviously, that runs up against the 1997 flores agreement, which says you can t give kids for more than 20 days, even if they are with their parents. so the trump administration has sort of provoked a showdown now. it is a challenge to congress. this is going to get struck down
