you don t want to hedge in your negotiators. so why announce it? you don t want to take away the ability to get back to the negotiating table. the president did that. he s all about the photo op. if you know you re not going to get the photo op. what s the next best thing? i ll let people know there was going to be a photo op. the taliban is a terrible organization and they have done terrible things but if we re ever going to get out of afghanistan and we ve been there for 18 years, maybe we actually do have to talk to them. you can talk to them but you don t have to bring them into the location is not right. everybody stick around. there s a lot more we need to cover right now as congress faces tough decisions about possible gun legislation. cnn investigates unlicensed gun dealers who are selling weapons without any background checks.
