WARREN Police are continuing to investigate the Feb. 28 shooting death of 89-year-old Ruth Lewis at a Starlite Drive NW home.
No new information on the investigation was released Tuesday, but on Monday, police posted information on Facebook that a “person of interest” in the shooting has been arrested and is being held on unrelated charges.
Officers, according to the Facebook post, are working with the prosecutor’s office in filing charges, pending the receipt of laboratory results from Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations. BCI is part of the Ohio Attorney General’s office.
Assistant Trumbull County Prosecutor Chris Becker said his office does not use the term “person of interest.”
