Drapers 30 Under 30 alumnus Rory Westbrook talks about his new venture, building a business as a teenager and fashion’s greener future

At just 26, Rory Westbrook has already built True Vintage into one of Europe’s largest vintage etailers – earning him a place on last year’s list of Drapers 30 Under 30 rising stars of fashion. Now, the entrepreneur has set his sights on the mainstream menswear market with the launch of fashion and lifestyle etailer True Store.
Westbrook’s own love of vintage fashion was the catalyst for establishing True Vintage. He began buying and selling vintage clothing on Ebay while still a teenager, before moving on to sell via Instagram. In 2014, while in his second year at Portsmouth University, he launched True Vintage, and operated the transactional website alongside studying for a degree in business.
