Target Issues Recall of Over 400,000 Infant Rompers and Swimsuits

Target has recalled about 480,000 infant rompers and swimsuits due to possible laceration, choking, or pinching hazards. The items being recalled are about 299,000 Cloud Island infant rompers and about 181,000 Cat & Jack Infant-Toddler One-Piece Rashguard Swimsuits.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the Cloud Island infant rompers being recalled include the following in sizes newborn to 12M:
Cloud Island Waterfront Baby Boutique Romper, Cloud Island Little Peanut and True Navy Rompers, Cloud Island Little Wildflower and Joyful Mint Rompers, Cloud Island Oh Honeybee and Pink Rompers, and Cloud Island Floral Fields and Mint Rompers

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Target has is recalling a collection of baby rompers because snaps could break off and pose a choking hazard.
This recall includes the Cloud Island Waterfront Baby Boutique Romper, Cloud Island Little Peanut and True Navy Rompers, Cloud Island Little Wildflower and Joyful Mint Rompers, Cloud Island Oh Honeybee and Pink Rompers, and Cloud Island Floral Fields and Mint Rompers.
Target says they have received 16 reports of snaps breaking or detaching from the clothing, including one report of scratches and one report of a child being pinched.

Target recalls Cloud Island infant rompers
Target recalls Cloud Island infant rompers due to the snaps can break or detach from the rompers, posing a choking, laceration and pinching hazards to children.
Consumers should immediately take the recalled infant rompers away from children and return them to any Target Store for a full refund. Consumers that purchased the rompers on Target.com can contact Target to receive a prepaid return label to return the rompers.

Target has announced a recall of 480,000 pieces of clothing for infants and toddlers due to choking hazards.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission posted recalls of two separate outfits on Wednesday involving a swimsuit of infant-toddler girls and infant rompers.
The Cat & Jack “Summer Blue Lemon” One-Piece Rashguard Swimsuit, the Cat & Jack “Coral Icon Story Hawaiian” One-Piece Rashguard Swimsuit, and the Cat & Jack “Moxie Peach Lemon” One-Piece Rashguard Swimsuit in sizes 12M to 5T have snaps that can break or detach. The product’s item number is located on the white tag inside of the suit. The CPSC recommends consumers to return them to any Target Store for a full refund. Consumers that purchased the one-piece Rashguard swimsuit on Target.com can contact Target to receive a prepaid return label to return the swimsuit. Target is recalling a combined 480,000 units of infant rompers and swimsuits for infants and toddlers. Both recalls were announced on Dec. 30, 2020 by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Target.
The retailer has received 16 reports of the snaps on Cloud Island rompers breaking, detaching or missing, including one report of scratches and one report of a child being pinched, according to the CPSC.
The baby rompers being recalled include the Cloud Island Waterfront Baby Boutique Rompers, Cloud Island Little Peanut and True Navy Rompers, Cloud Island Little Wildflower and Joyful Mint Rompers, Cloud Island Oh Honeybee and Pink Rompers and Cloud Island Floral Fields and Mint Rompers. The rompers were sold in sizes newborn to 12 months. Approximately 299,000 rompers in total were recalled.
