Oliver Bell, the first kids in the UK to receive a sensory pack from Caudwell Children. A RUTHERGLEN seven-year-old has become one of the first kids in the UK to receive a sensory kit from charity Caudwell Children. Oliver Bell, who has autism, and his family received items such as a weighted cushion and a fibre optic lamp to help with sensory activities at home. Carol Osborne, Oliver s mum, said: “The Get Sensory pack has been extremely useful to Oliver. He is very sensory seeking. “The Scented Bubbles and Space Blanket are a big hit - he loves to lay on the sheets and watch the bubbles float down all over him, popping on the Space Blanket around him.

Charity supports disabled boy with sensory pack | This Is Local London

Riley has received a sensory pack as part of a charity campaign A 10-year-old has received an innovative equipment pack to help support his disabilities during the pandemic. Riley Townsend-Smith, of Coulsdon, is among one of the first to receive a sensory kit as part of a UK-first charity campaign by Caudwell Children. The sensory pack will provide a range of therapeutic benefits for Riley, who has autism, a severe language disorder, and a rare disease which causes rigidity of the muscles. Caudwell Children launched its Get Sensory Packs campaign following consultation with parents to find the most appropriate and safe sensory items – selected by the charity’s Occupational Therapists.
