UPDATE, WEDNESDAY 8AM: The Gladstone truck driver who was seriously injured in a truck rollover on Tuesday remains in a stable condition. The man, who is in his 20s, was still in Rockhampton Hospital on Wednesday morning.
UPDATE, 2PM: The truck driver who was seriously injured after a truck rollover on Tuesday morning has improved to a stable condition. The driver, a male in his 20s, was airlifted to Rockhampton Hospital from the Calliope scene. He sustained head, chest and facial injuries. He does not require to be transferred to Brisbane at this time. The driver works out of Gladstone and lives in Morayfield, near Brisbane.

Update 12.30pm: The Leichhardt highway has been closed for a number of hours following a truck rollover in Banana. A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said both lanes had to be closed to clean up the scene. She said the southbound lane was expected to reopen soon. A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics assessed one patient for minor injuries, however they declined to be taken to hospital.
Initial: Emergency services are on scene at a truck rollover in Banana. A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said emergency services were called to the Leichhardt Hwy at 9.28am Thuresday to a B-Double that had rolled over.
