Facebook Share By Don Epley, PhD | Coastal Economics, LLC ALDOT is proposing a new $750 million Truck Bridge over the Mobile River as a solution to the growing I-10 highway traffic congestion over Mobile Bay. The design and funding solutions are significant to truck traffic which supports commerce throughout the Southeastern U.S., and impacts drivers of passenger vehicles who plan to use the interstate Bayway route over Mobile Bay to reach their destinations. The proposed design of the bridge without concurrent changes to the Bayway creates hazardous driving conditions.
