For once the finger is not being pointed at farmers, the chair of the IFA in Kerry has said in response to concerns by a leading anglers body over inadequate sewage systems in Killarney as the leading cause of pollution.
Plans to build almost 250 dwellings in Killarney, given the green light by Kerry County Council (KCC) over a month ago, have been appealed to An Bord Pleanála by a Killorglin-based anglers’ association, concerned about the impact the development could have on water quality of the lakes and rivers in the wider catchment area.
