The Columbia Police Department is investigating a Tuesday evening shooting that resulted in the death of a 22-year-old woman.
Lt. Jeremy Haywood confirmed that Clarissa Hernandez Keiser, 22, was found dead by responding officers at Academy Court in Columbia. Police identified the suspected shooter as Chaisty Dawn Jones, 35.
Haywood said Jones, who was transported by helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with injuries she sustained during the confrontation, will be arrested following her release from receiving medical treatment.

Time tends to fly by once you find the right place, the right job and community to call home.
Just ask McDonald s General Manager Edythe Dee Dee Buchanon, who is celebrating 30 years with the company, and a team of fellow employees and customers she considers more than friends, but family.
Or as she and the Trotwood Avenue restaurant s owners Tony and Gina Wolfe like to put it, the McFamily. I ve enjoyed building these relationships, and I ve worked in other restaurants, but this is my baby, my home, Buchanon said. It s the people that I work with, the organization that I work with that makes it more worthy to me, which makes me feel important. Me feeling important makes me want to be the best I can be, in whatever I do.
