welcome to our viewers on pbs in america and around the globe. police video showing five officers in memphis, tennessee viciously beating a black motorist has been released. tyre nichols died three days later amd the officers, who are all black, each face multiple charges including murder. his family say the video shows him being kicked like a football. the bbc is reviewing the footage. some of it is very graphic and too distressing for broadcast. this is what we will show you the first few seconds of the initial footage. we won t show any more than this clip at this time as we still continue to review it. two further police officers have been put on leave pending an investigation, after the video was released. in a statement released on twitter, the sheriff of shelby county in memphis floyd bonnerjr said: having watched the videotape for the first time tonight, i have concerns about two deputies who appeared on scene following the physical confrontation between police and
