One person was arrested Thursday after hitting a firetruck that was responding to a previous vehicle collision, according to the N.C. State Highway Patrol.
The firetruck was on the scene of a collision that occurred around 6:06 p.m. on Interstate 85 near mile marker 96 in Davidson County.
At 9:01 p.m, a vehicle hit the right front side of the truck, said Trooper Ned Moultrie with the Highway Patrol. The driver, James Robert Powell, 44, of Lexington, is being charged with failure to move over for emergency vehicles and driving while impaired.
He was arrested and taken to the Davidson County Jail.
